Depending on contextual relevance and how the widget has been integrated into your site, the
metrics will vary from publisher to publisher. Unlike a banner advertisement where click through rate (CTR)
is important, we consider a full form submission to be more relevant with our widget, which we call a Lead
Request (LR). You will be able to see the number of Lead Requests and the number of Widget Impressions you
generate within our publisher reporting interface in order to calculate your conversion rate.
Our widget partners are paid for every valid lead submitted to our partner schools, regardless if the student
enrolls. Our average pay per lead is $15-$25 and the average number of leads per user is 1.5, but ranges can
differ from publisher to publisher, depending on site traffic. However, a more effective way to measure our
forms is by CPM (Cost per Thousand Impressions). CPM’s range from $30-$100 and are a better measure of each
individual site’s performance as it gives a comparison basis of monetization to other advertisement options for that particular site.
We calculate CPM based upon the total net publisher revenue divided by number of widget impressions multiplied by 1000, in other words:
CPM = (Total Net Publisher Revenue ÷ Widget Impressions) x 1000
There are a few payment options based on the location of your business. For businesses located in the United States, payments will be made by direct deposit or physical check sent via postal mail. All businesses located outside of the United States will receive payment via PayPal.
We calculate revenue payments for each monthly cycle of the campaign and pay on a Net 45 payment term. During the first week of each new month, we will send you unreconciled, preliminary statistics showing your number of impressions and leads generated in the previous month, so you are able to get an idea of how well your campaign’s performance was in the previous month. We then spend most of the month reconciling all leads with our partner schools and will have final, reconciled, billable numbers ready around the end of the month for the previous month’s activity. We will then send payment on the 15th of the following month.
For example, if you generated leads in the month of June, you can expect to receive unreconciled, preliminary statistics during the first week of July. You will receive a final, reconciled, and billable invoice for your leads at the end of July. Payment of reconciled leads will occur on August 15th.
Campus Explorer widget forms are completely customizable to fit the look and feel of your website and to be embedded directly into the webpage.
The validity of a lead is based on the validation procedures upheld by our partner schools. The following are examples of why a lead may not be approved:
We do not set minimum performance thresholds for our publishers. If a widget is not performing well we will continue to optimize and find an integration that does.
Once the widget is live and running on your site, we will provide you with access to our publisher dashboard where you can monitor the widget’s activity in real time.
Campus Explorer’s database is compiled of over 9,000 schools from traditional schools, community colleges, universities, vocational schools, and online universities. We have inventory in multiple areas of studies such as:
Our scrub rate varies from publisher to publisher but averages around 8-10% overall.
There should be little to no effect on your Google AdSense placements. The Campus Explorer widget form should be incremental revenue designed to engage your users.
